Here's the #43 Ford Fiesta I was co-driving up in Canada. Why, what car did you think I was talking about.
Seriously though, thanks to those of you who apparently thought I'm a good enough co-driver to sit with Ken Block (I'm not, yet). It was a brutal rally and we were lucky to finish. Fortunately Danny drove smart and we had a nearly flawless race.

I bet you could sit with Ken. I like #43 Fiesta better, though. Does she not have a name?

Hey, did that Fiesta have 600HP and AWD? After rally mods, they all have that stuff in them...right?
Also much respect to DasWauto for taking that pic, because since he's an old BMW, I know it must have been extremely difficult for him to wield a camera designed for humans.

Actually no modern era rally cars have anywhere near 600 hp. The AWD cars have mandatory engine intake restrictors that limit them to about 350 hp. When they talk about Ken's car having 600 that's with the restrictor off. He runs without it for gymkhana and rallycross but needs it on for rally.
2WD cars don't require restriction but since there's only so much power you can put down through two wheels the FWD cars tend to top out at 250-300 hp and the RWD cars 400-450. I've seen a couple cars built with variable boost, giving them the ability to dial in as much as 550 hp, but over about 425 or so it's less about going faster and more about barroom bragging about how much power the car has, that extra 125 can't be put down unless you're on tarmac.

Nah, still need to get a bit more experience before I can co-drive for someone at Ken's tier. This rally actually gave me a lot of trouble, the notes were in an unusual format and the roads were unlike anything I'd ever seen before. I got off-note about five or six times during the event (one of them badly), where normally at the most I get off note once and manage to get back on in less than five seconds. Needed to do more editing during recce.
What "she" are you referring to?

We still need the RGT Viper.

Maybe you should get Google Glass. Are they going to ban that in rallies?
That "she" is the lovely Fiesta in the picture, who you refer to as simply "the #43 Fiesta" as if she has no soul! These are just tools to you, aren't they!
Drank too much coffee again.

Google Glass wouldn't have made a difference, the issue was what qualified as a note-worthy corner was different from what I'm used to. So I'd think I was calling the note for the next corner ahead of us when really the corner ahead of us was considered part of the corner we just exited and the corner I called was the corner around the corner ahead of us. Or, alternately, I'd think I was calling the corner at the end of the straight we were on when really what I was calling was a barely noticeable kink in the road halfway down the straight. That's why I got lost so many times.
The Fiesta doesn't have a name. I suppose she could be referred to as the Kitty Smiles R1.

Gotcha. Are they not Jemba notes, then? Just random notes? Or do Jemba notes vary like that...
I will now call her Kitty Smiles R1. So she feels special.

Not Jembas. Notes written by an unnamed rally driver a couple weeks ago.

A camera is only one button, you should see how I type. It's some sort of art form.
